Job summary

Premise Health in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Full Time Registered Nurse to provide care to client employees in our Health Center. The schedule is four 9-hour days and one 4-hour day, totaling 40 hours per week.

You will perform nursing evaluations, collaborate with physicians, administer medications, maintain records, and educate patients on health promotion. Active WI RN license, BLS (ACLS as needed), and 3+ years in ER or occupational health are required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin state required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required based on contract scope.
• COHN/COHN-S or Emergency Nursing or Case Management certification preferred.
• Minimum of three years of RN experience in ER or occupational health/ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and conduct nursing evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further evaluation and care.
• Perform and document tests, screenings, and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administer medications and emergency care within scope of practice.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe environment with proper infection control.
• Maintain patient health records to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information.
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Registered Nurse (RN), you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Milwaukee, WI.

The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, consisting of four 9-hour days and one 4-hour day, for a total of 40 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
