Job summary

Village Green Health and Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team of dedicated health care professionals. We welcome both short-term rehab and long-term care, with competitive wages and a full benefits package.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the RN will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education for residents, supervising CNAs and coordinating care on the unit.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Registered Nurse license required.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across short-term rehab and long-term services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CNAs and other staff delivering nursing services.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit and ensure staff competency.
• Provide safe, accurate medication-related interventions and document orders.
• Transcribe and coordinate physician orders accurately.
• Conduct nursing assessments and notify physicians of status changes.
• Develop and implement a care plan based on assessments and adjust as needed.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions to stabilize residents and prevent complications.

Applicant must have unrestricted Registered Nurse license.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.

These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities of the Registered Nurse may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff are capable of providing appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and /or prevent complications.

Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
