Job summary

Village Green Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Staff Nurse to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Whether short term rehab or long-term care, we offer opportunities and competitive wages.

The RN or LPN will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care and health education for residents under the Director of Nursing. RN/LPN will supervise CNAs, coordinate unit care, administer medications, transcribe orders, and develop plans of care.

Qualifications

• Applicant must hold an unrestricted RN or LPN license.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care/services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit, ensuring staff can provide appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Transcribe and coordinate physician orders accurately.
• Perform nursing assessments and notify physicians of changes.
• Develop a care plan based on assessments and implement nursing care.
• Institute nursing interventions to stabilize residents or prevent complications.
• Contribute to residents' assessment and care plan development.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents.

These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner.

• RN/LPN will supervise the care/services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• RN/LPN will coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff are capable of providing appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• RN/LPN will accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• RN/LPN will perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• RN/LPN will develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and /or prevent complications.

Contribute to the resident’s assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the development of a care plan.
