Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. Available shifts are 7am–7pm, and 7pm–7am with every other weekend required. An unrestricted RN license is required and a $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time staff.

As a nurse on our team, you will supervise CNAs, coordinate resident care, administer medications, transcribe orders, assess residents, and help develop individualized care plans in a supportive, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the care of residents and support staff, including CNAs.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit and ensure staff are capable of delivering appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions.
• Transcribe and coordinate physician orders.
• Conduct resident assessments and notify physicians of changes.
• Develop and implement care plans based on assessments and needs.
• Institute nursing interventions to stabilize residents and prevent complications.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents. These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities of the RN may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff are capable of providing appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Conduct assessments of the residents and notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.

Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
