Job summary

Newport Healthcare in Connecticut is seeking an RN to provide on-site nursing and attendant care to residents, ensuring health and well-being in line with our mission.

You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, document in medical records, and collaborate with NPs and physicians to adjust treatment plans.

Applicants must hold an active RN license in Connecticut; residential nursing experience is a plus, and a night shift differential applies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs with accurate documentation.
• Evaluate medical complaints and communicate with NPs and Physicians.

• Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory issues, and seizures with timely interventions.
• Maintain medical records and comply with reporting and infection control protocols.

What You'll Do

As an RN, you will be providing on-site nursing and attendant care to our residents. You'll ensure their health and well-being while working in alignment with the mission and core values of Newport Healthcare. Plus, enjoy a shift differential for your late-night dedication!

What You'll Do:

• Administering medications and monitoring vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
• Evaluating medical complaints and concerns from residents, effectively communicating with our Nurse Practitioners and Physicians.
• Developing and implementing treatment plans, providing direct care and nursing services as prescribed.
• Monitoring chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions.
• Maintaining comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to all mandated reporting and infection control protocols.
• Collaborating with Care Coordinators regarding medication management and refills.
• Participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing your expertise to enhance patient care.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Possess a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse License in state applying for work.
• Experience in residential nursing a plus.

Compensation Range:

$39.52 to $59.28 depending on education and experience
