Newport Healthcare in Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse to administer medications, monitor residents, and implement treatment plans within our residential program. This role involves direct nursing care, documentation, and collaboration with NPs and physicians to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license in Virginia. Night/PM shifts with 12-hour schedules and weekend differentials are available; background checks, drug screening, and CPR within 30

• Active RN license in the state of Virginia.
• Residential nursing experience is a plus.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• CPR certification required within 30 days.

Responsabilidades

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs with accurate documentation.
• Evaluate complaints from residents and communicate with NPs/Physicians.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and provide nursing care as prescribed.
• Monitor chronic conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures with timely interventions.
• Maintain medical records and logs, follow reporting and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with BHS on medication management and refills.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.

What You’ll Do

• Administering medications and monitoring vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
• Evaluating medical complaints and concerns from residents, effectively communicating with our Nurse Practitioners and Physicians.
• Developing and implementing treatment plans, providing direct care and nursing services as prescribed.
• Monitoring chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions.
• Maintaining comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to all mandated reporting and infection control protocols.
• Collaborating with BHS regarding medication management and refills.
• Participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing your expertise to enhance patient care.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Possess a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse License in state applying for work.
• Experience in residential nursing a plus.

  • Must pass the applicable state/agency background check required for the work location jurisdiction, prior to employment.
  • Pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must possess a current and valid CPR certification or obtain within the first 30 days of employment.

  • Minimum age is 21 years old, as a requirement for employment.

Pay range for this position is $39 to $58 depending on education and experience.
