Job summary

Alvin ISD seeks a licensed school nurse to implement a comprehensive health services program on campus. The role focuses on promoting health and safety, providing case management, and collaborating to build student and family capacity for adaptation and learning.

The ideal candidate will hold a Texas RN license, graduate from an accredited nursing program, and maintain required certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid, vision/hearing screening, and diabetes risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening.
• Type 2 Diabetes Risk Assessment screening certificate.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program
• Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners
• CPR/ AED/First Aid certification
• Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening
• Type 2 Diabetes Risk Assessment screening certificate

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:

• Preferably Two years of nursing experience, preferably in school or community health
