PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist in development and implementation of a comprehensive program of health services for the school. Responsible for providing direct health services to students. Promote health education and preventive health practices for students. Serve as health advocate for students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
- Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas as issued by the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas.
- Certified in CPR, audiometric and vision screening
- Must have car, driver’s license, and liability insurance
- Two years Registered Nurseexperience, preferably in school/community health OR
- New graduate registered nurse with experience in school health utilizing other credentials.
