Ascension St. Vincent Evansville seeks a nursing resident to develop professional practice through guided mentorship and structured learning including simulations and skills labs. You will participate in residency seminars and manage clinical scheduling within a dynamic hospital setting.

Requirements include RN licensure, BLS within 30 days of hire, and a nursing diploma from an accredited program. Schedule includes day or night shifts, full- or part-time options, at Ascension St.

• Collaborates with mentors and educators during the first year of practice to evolve from a student mindset into a high-functioning professional nurse.
• Completes all structured learning requirementsâincluding simulations and skills labsâto successfully transition into a professional role.
• Participates in residency seminars designed to enhance professional development while effectively managing clinical scheduling and department commitments.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
• Approved Local Exception. Approved Local Exception for TN to add NRP and STABLE.orFor use with unique Union job requirements only. Remove if not for Union.
• Drivers License.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
