Job summary

Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN role at our brand-new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility in Oak Creek, WI. Shifts are 12 hours and require commitment to 2 shifts every 6 weeks as a minimum.

You will perform assessments, interventions, patient and family teaching, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team while maintaining CQPI and accurate charting. Wisconsin RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin or compact-state RN license required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum one year of prior nursing experience preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides patient and family teaching throughout the rehabilitation stay and prior to discharge.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Works cooperatively and actively participates with other members of the Interdisciplinary team.
• Participates in Continuous Quality and Performance Improvement (CQPI).
• Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

How you’ll contribute

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

What we are looking for

• Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
• RequiredSkills: Requires critical thinkingskills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Experience: One year previous experience preferred
• Licenses: Active Wisconsinor compact state RN license required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Education: Associate's Degree required.
