Job summary

Care New England's Butler Hospital is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Adult Inpatient General Treatment Unit, following ANA standards and RI Nurse Practice Act.

The role emphasizes participation in treatment planning, coordination of care, emergency response, and collaboration with the care team, with a preference for BSN and an active RI nursing license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current RI nursing license.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
