Job summary

Care New England’s Butler Hospital in Providence, RI is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for Lippitt 2, an adult inpatient Intensive Treatment Unit. Provides direct patient care per ANA standards and RI Nurse Practice Act.

You will participate in treatment planning, coordinate care and discharge planning, assist in emergencies, administer medications, and may serve as Charge Nurse on shifts. Requires RI RN license; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current RI nursing license.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
