Job summary

Care New England's Butler Hospital seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide direct patient care in the Delmonico 4 unit. You will assess, plan, and implement nursing care in alignment with ANA standards and state regulations, and participate in discharge planning.

The role is full-time night shift (36/72) with every other weekend. A BSN is preferred and RI nursing license is required. Join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• B.S.N preferred.
• Current RI nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.
