Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct and indirect patient-centered care within the Greater Hartford area.

You will coordinate patient care with an interdisciplinary team, communicating changes in condition and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment for diverse patient populations. The role requires CT RN licensure, de-escalation training, and RQI certification within three months of hire.

Competenze

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have a current Registered Nurse license with the state of Connecticut.
• Must be trained in de-escalation techniques, and receive certification within the orientation period of hire.
• Must receive RQI certification within three (3) months of hire and maintain clinical competency during employment within this role.

• Performs comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of the patient’s condition and care needs.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate patient and family regarding pain management.
• Develops and revises individualized treatment plans and evaluates overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Follows the seven medication rights and reduces potential for medication errors.
• Documents the nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
• Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness.
• Practices autonomously and pursues professional growth and development.
• Demonstrates ability to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
