Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a registered nurse for the Night shift in the Stepdown Intermediate Care PCU. This full-time position offers 3x12-hour shifts and a collaborative team focused on high-quality patient care in Pensacola, FL.

You will implement and monitor care plans, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, follow physician orders, and assist with discharge planning. Minimum requirements include Florida RN licensure and BLS, with a diploma from an accredited nursing

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date.
• RN license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Coordinate care across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• At least a year of acute care bedside experience.
