Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Panama City is hiring for an expert Nursing Professional Development leader who will design, implement, and evaluate organization-wide educational programs. You will partner with clinical leaders to address learning gaps and align plans with organizational goals, while managing competency standards across multi‑faceted programs.

The role uses structured evaluation tools to measure outcomes, optimize delivery, and support clinical performance excellence.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or transfer date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Serve as an expert consultant to design, implement, and evaluate organization-wide Nursing Professional Development (NPD) programs and competency initiatives.
• Partner with clinical leaders to assess learning gaps and develop measurement-driven educational plans that align with organizational goals.
• Manage performance and competency standards across multi-faceted programs, enabling interprofessional teams to practice at the full scope of their licensure.
• Utilize structured evaluation tools and metrics to measure learning outcomes, optimize delivery mechanisms, and ensure ongoing clinical performance excellence.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience

• Required professional licensure at time of hire.
