Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Nursing Administration leader for the Panama City, FL area to oversee nursing and support staff during the night shift. You will assign, monitor, and educate staff while ensuring appropriate patient care distribution and outcomes.

The role requires FL RN licensure (Compact State preferred) and BLS within 1 month, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience; ICU/ER experience is a plus. This is a full-time night-shift position at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Florida; multi-state license (Compact State) before hire date.
• 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.
• ICU/ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign, direct, educate and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
• Contribute to or perform performance evaluations of staff.
• Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting outcomes.
• May provide input for hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.

How you'll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi‑state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
