Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Progressive Care as part of the System Float pool. This contingent role offers part-time shifts across multiple Henry Ford facilities, with opportunities to float between sites as staffing needs arise.

Responsibilities include nursing interventions across varied units, patient assessment, and collaboration with care teams. Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience and Michigan RN licensure are required; BLS/ACLS current.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of recent related clinical nursing experience.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS

• Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and an expanded group of nursing practices.
• Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection.

Contingent - 72 hours per month (minimum)

Shifts Available: Midnights

Location Requirement: Select five hospitals to float between (1 Zone + 1 Additional Site = 5 Hospitals)

Detroit Main; Macomb, Novi, Rochester, Southfield, St. John; Warren; West Bloomfield, Wyandotte

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
