Job summary

Henry Ford Staffing, a contingent float pool within Henry Ford Health, offers RN opportunities across five hospitals in Michigan. You will float between sites, perform nursing interventions, and respond to diverse patient needs while maintaining flexibility and work–life balance.

Qualified applicants have an accredited nursing degree, Michigan licensure, BLS/ACLS, and a willingness to float to multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• 2–3 years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Current license by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• TB and vaccines (flu) requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing interventions across varied settings.
• Identify patient problems from clinical data.
• Collaborate with hospital staff while floating between sites.

Contingent - 72 hours per month (minimum)

Location Requirement: Select five hospitals to float between (1 Zone + 1 Additional Site = 5 Hospitals)

Detroit Main; Macomb, Novi, Rochester, Southfield, St. John; Warren; West Bloomfield, Wyandotte

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices.Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations.Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).

Henry Ford Staffing (formerly BestChoice) is a system-wide, contingent, float pool which offers the opportunity for an RN to work in a variety of settings throughout Henry Ford Health. Nurses working with us have the unique benefit of being exposed to various settings throughout Henry Ford Health because they float to where staffing needs are identified. This may be ongoing to fill an employee's hours that is on a leave of absence, call-ins, increase of census or to cover vacation requests.Henry Ford Staffing offers flexibility, which allows an RN work-life balance, as your schedule is based around how often you want to work and requires minimal commitment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS
• TB, vaccines (i.e., flu).
