Job summary

Henry Ford Staffing is seeking registered nurses to participate in a contingent float pool across Henry Ford Health facilities in Detroit and surrounding areas.

RNs will rotate through multiple units and sites, providing essential nursing care while addressing staffing needs in real time under general supervision. The role emphasizes flexibility, patient safety, and professional development within a premier health system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Handle nursing problems and expanded nursing practices.
• Identify patient problems before explicit changes in data.
• Float between locations as needed to meet staffing requirements.

Location Requirement: Select five hospitals to float between (1 Zone + 1 Additional Site = 5 Hospitals)

Hospital Locations to choose:

Detroit Main; Macomb, Novi, Rochester, Southfield, St. John; Warren; West Bloomfield, Wyandotte

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Willingness to float to multiple locations.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS
• TB, vaccines (i.e., flu).
