Job summary

Henry Ford Staffing, a system-wide contingent float pool within Henry Ford Health, is seeking an RN to float across designated hospitals in the Detroit region for midnight shifts. This role offers flexibility, exposure to multiple units, and opportunities to balance work with personal life.

Qualified candidates will have 2–3 years of nursing experience, an accredited nursing degree, and current BLS/ACLS credentials. Willingness to float to multiple locations is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of related clinical nursing experience.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations across hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and plans nursing care across diverse settings.
• Float to five hospital sites (Detroit Main, Macomb, Novi, Rochester, Southfield) as needed during midnights.

General Summary

Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Certifications/Licensures Required

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS
• TB, vaccines (i.e., flu).
