Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide care for client employees and dependents at our Health Center in Mount Sterling, IL. Hours are PRN—as needed, with 3–5 days per month plus coverage for PTO and onsite events.

You will support a busy primary care and occupational health clinic, work with experienced providers, and apply clinical, phlebotomy, and customer service skills in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Compliant Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC) required.
• Occupational health/Nursing certifications preferred (COHN/COHN-S).
• 3+ years RN experience in ER, occupational health, or ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and perform nursing evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians for further care as needed.
• Perform and document tests and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administer medications and provide emergency care per scope of practice.
• Maintain equipment, infection control, and patient records.

As a PRN Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Mt. Sterling, IL. The scheduled hours are PRN - as needed.

• Flexible PRN role with the opportunity to work 3–5 days per month, plus additional coverage for PTO and onsite events.
• Support a busy primary care and occupational health clinic alongside experienced providers, caring for employees and dependents
• Utilize your clinical, phlebotomy, and customer service skills in a collaborative team environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $36.80 - $46.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
