Job summary

Premise Health in McKinney, TX is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to support client employees at our Health Center. The clinic operates weekdays 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering a stable daytime schedule.

You will assess patient care needs, perform nursing evaluations and treatments, collaborate with physicians, document tests and maintain records, while promoting health and providing follow-up care.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support certification (AHA/ARC or equivalent)
• Experience in emergency, occupational health, or ambulatory care settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and perform nursing evaluations within scope
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team for further evaluation
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined by site contract
• Administer medications and provide emergency care within scope
• Maintain equipment, ensure clean, safe environment and infection control
• Maintain accurate patient health records and documentation
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care
• Perform other duties as assigned

As a PRN Registered Nurse, you’ll provide care to client employees at our Health Center in McKinney, TX. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering a consistent daytime schedule.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
