Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to care for client employees at our Health Center in Stratford, CT. The schedule is Monday–Thursday 8:30a–5:00p and Friday 7:30a–4:00p.

Qualifications

• Coursework and licensure as a registered nurse (RN)
• Current RN license in state of practice
• BLS/ACLS or equivalent certification; additional certifications may be required by site
• COHN/COHN-S, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certs preferred
• At least 3 years RN experience in ER, occupational health, or ambulatory care

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and perform nursing evaluations
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare practitioners for further care
• Perform and document tests and screenings (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administer medications and provide emergency care within scope
• Maintain equipment and ensure infection control and clean environment
• Maintain accurate health records
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care
• Perform other duties as assigned

As a Full Time Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Stratford, CT. The scheduled hours are Monday - Thursday 8:30a - 5:00p Friday 7:30a - 4:00p.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $39.20 - $49.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
