Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide care at our Health Centers in Covington, Florence, Fort Wright, and Georgetown, KY. The role requires strong phlebotomy skills, RN licensure in the state of practice, and 3+ years in emergency or occupational health settings.

Shifts are PRN, usually day shifts, Monday–Friday, with vaccine and screening duties as defined by contract. The position supports patient care, documentation, and collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications

• RN license required in state of practice
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be needed depending on contract scope
• COHN/COHN-S preferred and may be required for some sites
• Three years of RN experience in emergency, occupational health clinic, or ambulatory care

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and perform nursing evaluations
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff for evaluation and care
• Perform and document tests and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administer medications and provide emergency care within scope
• Maintain equipment and infection control practices
• Keep accurate patient health records
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care
• Perform other duties as assigned

As a PRN Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Centers located in Covington, Florence, Fort Wright, and Georgetown, KY. The scheduled hours are PRN as needed, Monday - Friday, day shift. Must have strong phlebotomy skills. Previous primary care or outpatient experience preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
