Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide care at our Covington, KY Health Centers. You will perform nursing evaluations, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to support client employees and dependents.

The role requires an RN license in Kentucky, BLS certification, and at least three years of RN experience in emergency or occupational health settings. Flexible PRN hours and a competitive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice required.
• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Hands-on training in BLS (AHA/ARC or equivalent) required; ACLS may be required depending on site scope.
• COHN/COHN-S or Emergency Nursing certification preferred and may be required for some sites.
• At least three years of RN experience in emergency, occupational health, or ambulatory care.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice.
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed.
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a PRN Registered Nurse, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Centers located in Covington, Florence, Fort Wright, and Georgetown, KY. The scheduled hours are PRN as needed, Monday - Friday, day shift. Must have strong phlebotomy skills. Previous primary care or outpatient experience preferred.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic
