Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, for our Health Center in Georgetown, KY. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based care to injured workers and ensuring regulatory compliance within clinical operations and site contracts.

You will perform physical evaluations, administer medications, and coordinate care with providers, the TPA, and the client. Night shifts are preferred and flexible production Saturdays may be available.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing education and licensure required
• Experience in occupational health environment preferred
• CSHN/COHN-S or related certification handy
• Basic Life Support (BLS) current required; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational health nursing care to client employees
• Perform clinical evaluations, screenings, and medical testing as defined by site contract
• Administer medications and emergency care within scope
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure infection control
• Coordinate care with TPA, client, and health program resources
• Support accident investigations and return-to-work programs
• Educate employees on health promotion and workplace safety

As a PRN Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Georgetown, KY. The scheduled hours are PRN, Monday-Friday with potential production Saturdays- with variations of shifts offered, 8s, 10s & 12s. Night shift availability strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic preferred
• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
