Job summary

Ascension is seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse to join Ascension Medical Group in Wichita, KS. The role focuses on delivering compassionate patient care under clinical leadership and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across treatment actions.

You will monitor patient status, administer medications, and perform diagnostic tests to support informed clinical decisions, while educating patients and families for post-discharge self-care and long-term health goals.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
