Job summary

Ascension, located in Pensacola, FL, seeks a Licensed Registered Nurse for weekend, part-time shifts at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. You will deliver patient care, follow physician and nursing orders, and coordinate across disciplines to support the patient’s stay.

Utilize your Florida RN license and BLS certification to implement care plans, monitor patient conditions, and assist with discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team and family.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or equivalent licensure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in accordance with organizational policies and protocols.
• Implement and adapt individualized patient care plans while observing changes in patient condition.
• Act as the primary coordinator across all medical disciplines to deliver holistic care.
• Assess and coordinate post-care and discharge needs with the healthcare team, patient, and family.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver patient care in accordance with organizational policies and protocols, while accurately noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders.
• Implement and adapt individualized patient care plans while continuously observing, recording, and communicating changes in patient condition.
• Act as the primary coordinator across all medical disciplines to deliver well-managed, holistic care throughout the patient's stay.
• Assess, anticipate, and coordinate patient post-care and discharge needs in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board ofNursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
