Job summary

Ascension Health's Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart in Pensacola, Florida, is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse for Pediatric Vascular Access. This part-time, day-shift role focuses on implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating care across disciplines, and ensuring smooth discharge planning.

Minimum requirements include Florida RN license, BLS within 30 days of hire, and a Diploma in nursing.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida RN license prior to hire date and be licensed to practice in Florida.
• Current BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted).
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition to the team.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinate needs with the healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire dateor job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board ofNursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtainedprior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.

Additional Preferences

• One (1) year minimum of PICU or Peds ED experience

• Previous Pediatric Vascular Access experience
