Job summary

Cedarparktexasedc seeks a dedicated registered nurse for a full-time Pediatric Float role at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX. This position requires 4 years of inpatient Pediatric experience and proficiency in ACLS/NRP certifications. As a pivotal team member, you will provide adaptable clinical care, assess patient needs, and ensure coordinated efforts across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of inpatient Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Possess or obtain ACLS/NRP certifications within 6 months of hire.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver Adaptable Clinical Care: Provide high-quality direct nursing care across diverse specialty units, strictly adhering to organizational protocols while leveraging a preferred 4+ years of inpatient Pediatric experience.
• Assess, Execute, & Monitor: Continuously assess patient needs, implement individualized care plans, and efficiently execute clinical orders while vigilantly documenting and communicating changes in patient status.
• Lead Interdisciplinary Coordination: Act as the primary liaison across multiple medical disciplines to facilitate seamless, well-coordinated patient care and optimize outcomes.
• Education & Certifications: BSN preferred; possess or obtain ACLS/NRP certifications within 6 months of hire to meet market and specialty care requirements.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What additional preferences we're seeking

Prefer 4 years or more inpatient Pediatric experience; ACLS/NRP preferred-will be required to obtain within 6 months of hire; BSN preferred.
