Job summary

Incredible Health in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for PCU/Stepdown to deliver specialized care to medium- and high-acuity patients, monitor vitals, IV drips, and complex treatment plans in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and case managers, provide patient and family education, document thoroughly in EMR, and participate in cross-training and sign-on bonus programs.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher is required.
• Active, unencumbered RN license is mandatory.
• 1 year of stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or similar medium-to-high acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for medium to high acuity patients, monitor vitals and IV drips.
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families on management of acute or chronic conditions and use of BiPAP/CPAP/home oxygen and monitors.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with hospital policies.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Bariatric, BiPap monitoring, COVID, CVA, Cardiac Drip Management, DKA patients, High acuity patients, Post cardiac intervention, or Sheath pulls.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing


• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license


• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred


• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association


• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices


• Proficient in electronic medical record systems
