Job summary

Incredible Health in Delray Beach, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for the PCU / Stepdown unit. The role supports patients with medium to high acuity, with day and night shifts available, and full time, part time, or per diem options.

You will monitor vitals, administer medications, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and educate families on device use and condition management. ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS/ACLS, and EMR proficiency are required; 1 year of stepdown or related

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in nursing.
• Active and unencumbered RN license.
• 1 year of stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or similar medium-high acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association.
• Strong hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills.
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for medium to high acuity patients, monitor vitals and IV drips.
• Administer medications and carry out complex treatment plans promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and nurses to ensure optimal care.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and device use (BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen).
• Maintain accurate patient records following hospital policies.

Nurses with experience in any of the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply: Bariatric, BiPap monitoring, COVID, CVA, Cardiac Drip Management, DKA patients, High acuity patients, Post cardiac intervention, or Sheath pulls.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips and other key indicators
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations
