Job summary

Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for PCU, fulltime night shifts. Ideal candidates have Med/Surg, PCU, or Critical Care background and valid RN license. New hires are eligible for a $3,750 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, coordinating care with physicians and ancillary staff, educating patients and families, and advocating for patients throughout the care continuum.

Responsibilities

Baptist South is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse for PCU Fulltime Nights. We are looking for an RN with experience including Med/Surg, PCU or Critical Care.

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.*Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care.

As a Registered Nurse for Baptist Health you will:

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement

• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital

Associate of Science in Nursing Or

Degree Preferred:

Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)

• 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
• Hospital Experience

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
