Job summary

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join Baptist South PCU on the Night Shift. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care, educating families, and advocating for patient needs.

The candidate will be responsible for numerous healthcare tasks including interaction with physicians and coordination of care. The position offers a $3,750 sign-on bonus and requires a BS in Nursing and a valid RN license.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing is required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) certification is mandatory.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.

As a Registered Nurse you will be Responsible for:

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
• Serve as patient advocate
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
