Job summary

Ascension Health seeks a Registered Nurse to support the Progressive Care Unit Float at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee. This PRN/Rotating role emphasizes care planning, interdisciplinary coordination, and timely response to patient needs.

You will monitor patient conditions, implement physician and nursing orders, and assist with discharge planning within a collaborative team. Wisconsin RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• RN credentialed from Wisconsin Board of Nursing before hire date.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional preferences:

• Nursing experience preferred.

• PCU experience preferred.
