Job summary

SoftPath Medical seeks an experienced clinician for its Cardiac and Medical Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Indiana.

This true ICU stepdown handles heart catheterizations, BiPAP, and vasoactive drips (Levo, Dopamine, Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone).

The 194-bed facility features Cerner charting, free parking, red tops and black bottoms; candidates must hold an in-state license and current ACLS/BLS; weekend coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Telemetry monitoring is required.
• IV starts performed as needed.
• Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Use of BiPAP and high flow oxygen.
• Experience with Level I, II, III, or IV patients.

Job Requirements

Travel pairs are not accepted.

Minimum experience required: 18 months.

First-time applicants are welcome.

Weekend availability is required.

Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (NIH certification preferred).

On-call duty is not required.

Clinicians must be willing to float within their scope to meet facility needs.

Local candidates are not accepted.

Pending licenses are not accepted; an in-state license and required certifications must be in hand to submit.

Return-to-Office restrictions: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Shift and Hours

Guaranteed hours include:

• 8 and 10-hour shifts totaling 40 hours in one workweek.
• Three 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours in one workweek.
• Four 12-hour shifts totaling 48 hours in one workweek.

Special Requirements

Required skills and experience include:

• Telemetry monitoring
• IV starts
• Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Use of BiPAP and high flow oxygen
• Experience with Level I, II, III, or IV patients

Preferred qualifications:

• Ventilator management
• Charge nurse experience
• Conscious sedation experience
