Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Level II Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care and to collaborate with the health care team in a designated unit. The RN applies evidence-based practice and participates in quality improvement and staff orientation.

The role requires a BSN or ASN with a Virginia RN license, BLS at hire, ACLS and NRP within 6 months, and 1 year of relevant experience (L&D/LDRP or Post-Partum).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed RN.
• BSN preferred; ACLS and NRP within 6 months of hire; BLS at hire.
• 1 year L&D/LDRP or M/B experience preferred depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Involve patient and family in care and discharge planning.
• Communicate plan of care to the health team.
• Contribute to performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Orient new staff and participate in committees; support unit operations.
• Maintain a safe patient/staff environment on a daily basis.
