Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to provide total, continuous, patient-centered care in the designated unit, collaborating with the healthcare team and applying evidence-based knowledge. The role uses the nursing process, supports discharge planning, patient/family teaching, and participates in quality improvement and unit committees.

Qualifications: Virginia RN license (compact), BSN preferred, BLS and NIHSS required at hire, and 2 years of recent acute

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and has experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state required.
• 2 years of recent RN acute care experience required.
• BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with health team members.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Serve as liaison for unit policies and procedures.
