Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to deliver total, comprehensive, patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with the health team to implement evidence-based knowledge and ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires BSN, an RN license (VA or compact), BLS at hire, and NIHSS within 90 days. Expect engagement in unit operations, discharge planning, and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and has experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state required.
• BSN required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate involvement of patient, family and health team members in care and discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with health team members.
• Assist leadership to define standards of excellence for patient care and improve services.
• Participate in performance and quality improvement activities.
• Act as point of contact on hospital policies for nurses and health team members.
