Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation. You will collaborate with the care team to improve outcomes and ensure continuity of care.

The role requires a valid RN license (Virginia or reciprocal compact state), a minimum of two years of RN experience, and a BSN preferred. BLS is required at hire, ACLS within 60 days, NIHSS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of two years RN experience.
• RN license valid in Virginia or reciprocal compact state.
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS/ BLS required by specified timelines.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate patient/family involvement in care and discharge planning.
• Communicate plan of care and other pertinent information to the health team.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Engage in orientation of new staff and policy implementation.
• Participate in hospital committees to shape nursing policies.

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

AHA BLS Provider CPR

AHA ACLS Provider
