Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to assess patient health, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes. The RN will supervise licensed practical nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel, delegating care and coordinating with other disciplines to ensure excellent patient care.

A BSN is preferred, with Florida RN licensure required. Holders of nursing board certification are favored, and those without a BSN must obtain one within three years of hire or certification

Qualifications

• BSN degree preferred at time of hire; must obtain BSN within three years if hired without one.
• Current registered nurse license in Florida.
• Professional nursing board certification preferred at hire or soon after.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient health alterations and assess responses to health problems.
• Implement nursing interventions based on nursing theory and related sciences.
• Evaluate effectiveness of interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Supervise/direct care by LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Delegate care to qualified team members and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Contribute to a positive unit-based work environment and patient advocacy.
