Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to provide total, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The role requires at least two years of RN experience, Virginia licensure (or reciprocal state), and appropriate certifications, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state.
• BSN is preferred.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• AHA ACLS Provider required within 60 days of hire.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with oversight of staff to achieve patient outcomes.
• Coordinate patient/family involvement and discharge planning.
• Communicate the plan of care to health team members.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and policy development.
• Mentor orientation for new staff and participate in committees.
