Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a registered nurse to join an interdisciplinary care team. The nurse will apply the nursing process to deliver and manage patient care, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with patients, families, and the health care team to achieve expected outcomes.

Responsibilities include systematic evaluation, documentation, and ensuring safety across care activities, including bedside lab testing and specimen collection.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the practicing state.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma or GED with related work experience.
• Knowledge and application of evidence-based nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Develops an individualized plan of care with patient/family and health care team.
• Evaluates and documents patient progress toward outcomes throughout shifts.
• Ensures safety using lift equipment and standard precautions as applicable.
• Obtains adequate lab specimens and performs bedside testing per orders.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team from admission to discharge.
• Contributes to process improvements and patient satisfaction.
