Job summary

Methodist Home for Children seeks a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to support youth at the Insight Juvenile Assessment & Crisis Center. This role offers about 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule and requires strong clinical nursing skills and a compassionate approach.

The RN will perform initial assessments, provide medical guidance to staff, oversee medications, and maintain accurate health records while collaborating with community providers.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Carolina.
• Associate Degree in Nursing and at least two (2) years of nursing experience.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical assessments for youth within 24 hours of admission.
• Provide medical consultation and guidance to Assessment Center staff.
• Respond to youth medical needs, including sick calls, routine assessments, and triage of injuries and illnesses.
• Oversee medication administration practices and record-keeping protocols.
• Collaborate with program leadership to review and improve healthcare procedures.
• Serve as a liaison between the Assessment Center and community healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

We are seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position works approximately 10 hours per week and offers a flexible schedule. The RN serves a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of youth admitted to the Assessment Center while providing medical consultation and support to program staff.
