Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago seeks a Registered Nurse to join our full-time team. Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive nursing care, adhering to standards, and contributing to patient safety.

Flexible shifts include 10-hour options with on-site responsibilities in a dynamic hospital setting. Required to graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold an IL RN license, and complete CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• IL RN License, CPR BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 3 months of start.
• Prefer at least one year of staff nurse experience; able to guide and supervise nursing personnel; reliable transportation for floating.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients and their families.
• Maintain competency reflective of current standards practice.
• Guide and supervise nursing staff in the provision of patient care.
• Integrate ethical provisions and evidence-based practice into nursing practice.
• Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Position Highlights

• Position: Registered Nurse
• Location: Chicago
• Full time
• Hours: 9a-70, 10am-8pm, 11am-9pm OR 1pm-11pm with call requirements. (10 hr shifts)

What You Will Do

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
• Maintains competency reflective of current standards practice.
• Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
• Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
• Integrates evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
• Recognizes and adjusts to situations that vary from the norm.
• Promotes safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries.
• Guides and supervises staff in the provision of patient care.
• Enhances own professional growth and development.
• Maintains a safe therapeutic working environment and recognizes need for action in emergency situations.
• Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

What You Will Need

• Education:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Certification/License:
  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS through American Heart Association
  • ACLS through American Heart Association
  • PALS through American Heart Association within 3 mths of start
• Experience:
  • Prefer at least one year of experience as a staff nurse.
  • Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
  • Communicates effectively and if experienced RN, is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
  • Required: Reliable transportation for floating
