Job summary

Endeavor Health in Skokie is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, compassionate care on a designated unit. You will use the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate the care plan, while engaging patients and families and collaborating with the healthcare team.

This full-time position requires IL RN license and CPR/BLS, BSN preferred, with early morning start times and on-call duties including weeknights and weekends; travel to nearby hospital campuses is expected.

• BSN preferred.
• IL RN License and CPR BLS.

• Provide safe, effective nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit.
• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

New Minimum Pay Effective October 2023:

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $37.25 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse
• Location: Skokie (ability to travel to Evanston, Glenbrook and Highland Park Hospitals)
• Full time
• Hours: Availability to start between am and 11:30am Mon - Fri with call requirements (weeknights and weekends included)

What you will do:

Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit. Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate. Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice. Assumes the responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and to make decisions based on their therapeutic relationship with the patient. Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care. Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required. BSN preferred.
• License/Certification:
  • IL RN License
  • CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience:
  • 6 mths RN experience in comparable role - Preferred
  • Basic Computer Skills
