SoftPath Medical is seeking a travel RN for a night shift on a high-acuity unit in West Virginia. The role requires at least 2 years of RN experience with 1 year in the specialty, BCLS certification, and familiarity with telemetry monitoring and IV starts. ACLS/NIH certifications are preferred.
Travel flexibility and a 100-mile radius policy apply. Expect 36 or 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours on 4x12 shifts.
Patients include those who have undergone bone and joint reconstructive surgery, joint replacement, orthopedic trauma surgery, or have sustained sports injuries. The unit also serves as Med/Surg overflow. Remote telemetry monitoring is conducted from an off-unit station staffed by a technician. Patient ages are 18 and older. Patient-to-nurse ratios are typically 1:4 but may occasionally increase to 1:5.
The unit operates under a team nursing model.
Nights; 7 PM to 7 AM, weekdays, every other week, float available.
Contract options: 36 or 48 hours per week, based on RN preference.
Overtime available after 48 hours for 4x12 shifts.
Orientation occurs every other week on Thursdays and Fridays.
Thursday: Full day in computer lab.
Friday: Morning in computer lab, then report to facility for badge issuance, followed by meeting staff and manager on the unit to receive schedule.
1:5 patient ratio.
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in the specialty area.
Flu vaccine is mandatory during flu season (October 1 to March 31) unless medically exempt with documentation.
COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
