Qualifications

• Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care with the care team.
• Provide health teaching and counseling to promote optimal health.
• Demonstrate clinical judgement and critical thinking to respond to patient changes.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
• Advise on policies to support patient safety and quality of care.
• Supervise licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel as needed.
• Advocate for patients by collaborating with health professionals.
• Complete required education, competencies, and licensure timely.
• Float to other SIH nursing units within competency level.
