Job summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Stress unit at Herrin Hospital. The role provides professional nursing care for SIH patients with a focus on cardiac services. Day shift, full time, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.

Candidates should hold an Illinois RN license, CPR/BLS, and ACLS within 6 months; TNCC/TNS is required within 1 year. ACLS, PALS, and related certifications may be needed depending on unit placement.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC or TNS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Establish a compassionate environment to support patients and families.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized care plan with the care team.
• Provide health teaching and counseling to promote health and wellness.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and critical thinking to respond to changes in condition.
• Complete accurate documentation in the medical record.
